España

Hola mis Amigos, I´m in Spain. Flight was easy and i´ve already gotten over jet lag with the help of tea and a 5 hour enery. It seems that wherever i go for the Olympics, that country´s team is going to play in the finals of the Olympics in basketball against the United States... and lose. Argentina 2008, Spain 2012. Maybe Brazil will make it in 2016. Arrived in Madrid and now I am in the Shelton equivalent in Spain in a town of 6,000 that´s called Guijuelo. Apparently they are known for ham. Here´s a map: Spain is like South America, only much, much nice and more organized in every way. You also don´t feel like someone is going to rob you 24/7, which is a plus. Last night we went out on a Sunday until 11 pm and there were tons of people in the street eating dinner. Even young kids. Today we had a 3 hour lunch with Sandra´s extended family, which was strangely reminiscent of a Sloane family gathering with heavy drinking and lots of really good food. Our plan is roughly the following: - One week here in Salamanca, which is like Olympia and Guijuelo, which is like Shelton - Three days in Lisbon - Four days in Barcelona - Two days in Palariac- ooooo la la - Two days in Granada - One day in Madrid My new traveling style is to try out airbnb, which is essentially couchsurfing but you pay a small token amount so you don´t feel awkward about taking a room in the house. We have found some amazing locations in every city. Keep you updated. Bueno, that´s it for now. More to come. Keep me updated on dog names. Is this the most current list: Willow, Tequila (kila), kita, coco, Cao. Hasta luego, -Taylor with edits from Sandra
