Granada
A month later, I realized that I never completed two outstanding postings for Spain: Granada and Salamanca. So here they are.
After Barcelona and Palariac, we caught a flight to Granada with Vueling. Vueling is WAY better than EasyJet in case you are wondering. You have legit seats that recline and they didn't hassle us about our carry on back size. In Granada we checked into an amazing hostel that had views of the Alhambra and a nice mix of Arabic and Spanish architecture. This entry is going to be photo heavy.
First off, Granada is friggin HOT. This dog is a genious and jumped straight into the fountain. I wanted to do the same.
Very Arabicy. The geometric patterns on the walls were ubiquitous and must have taken a long time to carve.
Famous courtyard, but the name slips my mind.
Gardens. Sandra had this idea that the best people to ask to take photos of you are Asian tourists. I don't like to generalize, but the photos they took were substantially better than the ones Spaniards took.
Stunning...
Where's Taylor?
Courtyards galore
Got a little thirsty
Lounging in the garden
I have to say we got a little bored in the Alhambra because the novelty of the Arabic architecture wears off, so we started taking more ridiculous pictures.
Tebowing in the Alhambra
Nice view
After the Alhambra we were hungry hippos, so we went to "Al hambre" and got some nice tapas. On our way we passed this pigeon who thought he better just sit on the statue's head. If I was a pigeon, I'd do the same.
This was my attempt to mock the US gymnast McKayla "something or rather" after she got a silver instead of a gold at the London Olympics and had a sour puss face on the medal podium. In case you haven't seen this website, I think it's pretty funny: http://mckaylaisnotimpressed.tumblr.com/

Me and my burro
Middle Eastern style spice market
Hippy street sale
Hippy pants. All young women in Granada wears these as do most Spanish women travelers I have encountered in Latin America.
